Which shaft fits me the best for the titleist 710 AP2?
I have always used True Temper's Dynamic Golf S300. I have never used a Project X shaft but I have heard good things about it. I know the stock for the 710 AP2 is DG S300 however, should I consider PX shafts?? I currently have the Nike VR TW blades. I hit it well but forgiveness would be helpful for on-course performance. I tried the DG S300 on the AP2. The ball goes just slightly higher than my VR's. Will the PX shafts make the ball go higher or too high?? Does PX shafts fit the light weight of the AP2 clubheads?? If I were to get the PX shafts instead of DG S300's, which stiffness is closer to S300, 5.5 or 6.0? I heard that S300 may be in between the 5.5 and 6.0. I average 165 with my 7 iron and 170-175 if I really go at it.
Go with the Project X in a 5.5, the 6.0 would be a little stiff for you and the PX really seem to fit the AP2 better than the DG.
