Baking mint meriunges......?
Last night (12-22-06) I made mint meringues using this recipe:
4 egg whites
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. green food coloring
1 12 oz bag Nestle mint swirled chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 F. Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar until stiff and spiky (when you pull the beaters out of the mixture). Gradually add the sugar, coloring and mint chocolate chips. Put wax paper on cookie sheets. Place by tablespoonfulls. Turn off oven and leave in overnight. Yield: approx. 2 dozen (depending on size of cookie).
When I took out the cookies this morning they were soft and sticking to the wax paper. Is there any way I can save these cookies from sticking to the wax paper?
set your oven to warm and put them back in. Once they dry out they should be ok
