Description

The umbrella of choice for touring golf pros, the GustBuster Pro Series Gold 62-inch golf umbrella keeps you dry wherever you roam. The umbrella boasts an innovative, patented double-canopy design that shields up to two people at once, along with an all-fiberglass frame with solid, round, rustproof ribs and spreaders. As a result, the Pro Series Gold is capable of flexing with the wind then returning to its original shape. The thick wall construction, meanwhile, is extremely strong yet much lighter than most comparably sized umbrellas on the market. Most impressively, the umbrella is wind-tested to 55-plus miles per hour at the College of Aeronautics, with aerodynamic vents in the lower canopy letting the wind pass through while the upper canopy keeps the rain out. A favorite of PGA, LPGA, Senior PGA, and Nike Tour professionals, the Pro Series Gold umbrella measures 62 inches in diameter and carries a lifetime warranty.

Customer Reviews

Great!

The Gustbuster is a great unbrella, the review came at a perfect time today is raining with high winds. I can say I put it to a test today and it passed with flying colors.

Awesome umbrella

5.0 / 5.0

This is the best umbrella I have ever owned. It is huge, and very sturdy. I would recommend it to anyone.

Wish I could give it more stars.

3.0 / 5.0

I love this umbrella but mine came defective. The thing which holds the umbrella open will not extend all the way unless I pull it out with a pliers. I tried lubing it but the "thing" still wants to stay partially retracted. I contacted gustbuster and they wanted me to ship it back at my own expense and include a check for $10 for shipping it back to me.

I only paid $20 for it because it was a promo overrun so I didn't feel like spending the same amount of $$ to get it repaired.

That said, it is a magnificent umbrella as far wind goes. I held it outside the cart wide open and had my partner drive as fast as possible and the umbrella did not invert. It is also very lightweight.

I am going to buy another one and I hope it will stay open. The first time it collapsed on me I thought I got hit by a meteor or a golf ball
because it closed with such force:-)

Solid product

This product has served me very well through several Caribbean Tropical Depressions and Tropical Waves. Its a bit big but for a tall person, there really isn't any option. Its always sad that most umbrellas don't provide us more coverage. This one has no such problems.

Monster umbrella does the job

4.0 / 5.0

I work in the city, and was using one of those super-tiny fold up umbrellas. Unfortunately, the wind gusting between buildings would "flip" it out with even a minor gust. It really made the umbrella a mute point. So, I decided to purchase an umbrella that would last me the rest of my career (or, at least as long as I work in town!)

PROS: The gust-proof design certainly lives up to the hype. Even with relatively severe winds, the umbrella doesn't ever "flip".

CONS: Almost embarrassing to carry around because it is so big.

OVERALL: Great umbrella. Definitely does what it is intended to do. Could easily cover a couple, and maybe even a kid to boot.

Sunglasses Protect Your Eyes, Help Your Golf Handicap

Sunglasses Protect Your Eyes, Help Your Golf Handicap December 1st, 2008 If you’re among those weekend golfers that play golf without sunglasses, think again. Sunglasses aren’t just for show or to make you look cool. They’re a critical piece of equipment you should always use—as vital to your eyes as sunscreen is to your skin. They also help your golf handicap. That’s why you almost always see PGA pros wearing them when they play. Unfortunately, many weekend golfers don’t wear sunglasses whe

Time to Look for Pro-V1 Deals?

With Acushnet, the owner of the Titelist line currently losing its battle with Callaway there could be a glut of Pro-V1s on the market that have to be moved before the end of the year.  It is claimed that the Pro-V1 has been altered to be outside the scope of the patents.  And they will introduce a new Pro-V1 model for next year (subject of the recent "beta-test" disqualification).  Acushnet is pushing this battle up the hill with an appeal to the Federal Appeals Court.  If this appeal doesn't
