Atlantic Toyota and Huntington Toyota Customers Learn Honda CR-Z Not Recommended, Toyota Hybrids Were
Atlantic Toyota and Huntington Toyota customers visit these dealerships looking for economical vehicles like the Toyota Prius as the shift toward greener vehicles continues. There are different hybrids available from various automakers, and Consumer Reports has created an auto test program to analyze each of these vehicles to decide which it will recommend to the public.
Consumer Reports anonymously purchases the vehicles they want to test and then begin more than 50 evaluations which include performance, safety, convenience and fuel economy. There are very stringent requirements that vehicles must meet to be recommended.
The Honda CR-Z Sport Hybrid did not pass the requirements as it was not recommended by Consumer Reports. There were features that caused the score to be so low that even if the Honda CR-Z was a reliable hybrid, Consumer Reports would still not recommend it.
Some of the negative comments about the Honda CR-Z included in a press release from Consumers Reports said "the ride is stiff and noise levels are high...the stability control intervenes too late [and there is] lousy rear and over-the-shoulder visibility."
Atlantic Toyota and Huntington Toyota customers will be thrilled to know that both of these dealerships carry all of the hybrids that were recommended by Consumer Reports. Five out of six Consumer Reports categories of vehicles were named with Toyota at the top of the list. The fuel-efficient cars that Consumer Reports recommends are the Toyota Prius, Toyota Camry Hybrid, Toyota RAV4, Toyota Highlander Hybrid and Toyota Sienna.
Both Long Island Toyota dealers Atlantic Toyota and Huntington Toyota stock the Consumer Reports choices for hybrid models.

I hit my driver much longer than my 3 wood and the difference is very inconsistent. why the gap?
the driver is a Titalist 905t with a stiff heavy shaft (9.5 degree) and the 3 wood is a warbird with a steel regular flex shaft im not sure of the degree but its a stock club. i also carry a 2 iron hybrid that goes about the same distance as the 3 wood but with a lower trajectory. should i drop the 2 hybrid and add another wedge or get a new stiff, heavy three wood.
it all depends on how you use your 3 wood during a round - is it's purpose as a 2nd driver or as a fairway club to advance the ball as far as possible? I don't know what degree your 2 hybrid is (17 degree or 19 degree?) but I carry a 13* 3 wood and a 17* 2 hybrid - I use both of these clubs often - I drive with my 3 wood on tight tee shots because I can hit it 250-260 straight. From the fairway, I'll use the 2 hybrid - I also carry 3 wedges (48*, 52* and 56*) - the 56* is the go to club within 100 yards and I use it around the greens, too - I don't think 4 wedges are necessary - get your 3 wood re shafted with a stiff shaft or get a new 3 wood you like - the warbird is kind old and there has been a ton of technology since the warbird - I think the Bobby Jones 3 wood is the best 3 wood out there for amateurs - I recently added it to my bag and I am amazed at the feel and the distance - good luck
