Has anyone ever encountered a bible fundamentalist actually questioning his/her interpretation of the bible?
Or at least doubted his/her own interpretation of the bible?
All bible fundamentalists I encountered are so sure that they're right about everything, even though reality tells them otherwise.
Only one: my brother, who left the Catholic Church for an "apostolic" pentecostal kind of church. Out of the blue he started calling me (we live in different states) to ask about stuff in the Bible. He knows I read the Bible many times and studied it academically. I could tell he was thinking about things like Bible literalness, differences between the original languages of the Bible and English, how English translations of the Bible happen, etc.
After that, he didn't remain fundamentalist for long. He quit that church and is now a practicing Catholic again.
