What golf clubs are better-Callaway or Cleveland?
i am looking to upgrade to better clubs,it is between the Cleveland HiBore XLS driver, woods, and irons or the Callaway Big Bertha Diablo driver, woods, and irons. it is altogether $100 more for the Callaways than the Clevelands. the Clevelands are newer but i have heard the Callaways work just as well as the Clevelands. i am an average golfer and play quite a bit and have a hard time getting my drives to go straight. any advice is helpful, thanks.
Go to a store that will allow you to hit each (hopefully with a launch monitor as well) and see for yourself. Price isn't everything, and yes, each brand is high quality.
The Hibore XLS is at the legal limit (5,900 g x cm2) for Moment of Inertia (MOI), which is the measurement used for forgiveness. The Diablo is engineered with a funky (but very interesting) shape, to combat the "s word". I honestly don't think you can go wrong with either.
Don't limit yourself to just one brand. You may find out that a Cleveland wood set and Callaway irons are a good combo. or the other way around. If you test them all and don't see differences, just go with the cheaper set. You'll still get high quality, and any money you save can go to greens fees!
